Log Haven remains one of, if not the best, restaurants in Salt Lake City. We felt valued right from the moment of our welcome by the host, and our server (Kacey) was equally hospitable and attended to our needs in a friendly and gracious manner. Excellent food, everything was well prepared and described accurately on the menu. We had a marvelous time and it will serve as a memorable occasion.

This was our 2nd visit to Log Haven. We're not from SLC but having now found Log Haven, we intend to dine there every time we visit. While the restaurant can accommodate many guests and large groups, each area of the building is secluded enough that we felt like we were dining in a small room. The menu is extremely varied and the food is excellent. It was truly a memorable visit.
Although we are not locals, we intend to dine with you every time we are in the area. Last week, our waiter was Kevin who treated us extremely well. WE had a marvelous time as usual and the food was excellent thanks to Chef Dave. See you next year!

Log Haven has never disappointed. We always bring out of state guests, many of whom live in large cities with 5 star restaurants and they are always impressed. The ambiance can't be beat, the wine selection is outstanding, the food superb, and the wait staff knowledgeable and pleasant.

We are still overwhelmed with gratitude and 'Over the Moon' happy with how Carley and Jerry's wedding celebration turned out at BEAUTIFUL Log Haven.
Everyone has commented on the superb attention and service that was give to us and all who attended. The event was fantastically orchestrated.
Please give Chef Dave our biggest & sincere 'Job Well Done' for the delicioso buffet, beginning with the incredible spring menu choices we all shared at the rehearsal dinner.

The dinner for our group was a huge success! Apparently, our group went back to the conference hotel and told everyone what an amazing time they had--and how the filet just melted it was so delicious!

Our wedding was an absolute blast! Faith and Joni were absolutely incredible from the very beginning. The entire process with them was perfect and stress free.
We couldn't be more impressed with the staff that were part of our wedding. They were all extremely nice and there was not a single person at the wedding that went home hungry and everyone had a glass of something in their hand. We also are vegan and the chef made us such a delicious meal!!
We are still getting phone calls and emails about how amazing our wedding was. THANK YOU!!!

Our family ate at Log Haven during the holidays. It was wonderful!! We had a table right in front of the fireplace. We all loved the Alpine Nachos (great to share) and the special clam chowder soup. Terrific flavor. Teenage nephew ordered the Elk and completely cleaned his plate. Elise did a fantastic job and would highly recommend her as a server to your dining experience. Thank you Log Haven - my family was here from out of town and I wanted to take them somewhere that would be memorable. Both in food and atmosphere - you exceed my expectation!

We cannot even articulate how wonderful our wedding experience was at your restaurant. The staff were all very approachable and accommodating and were as kind as can be. They felt like family to us, excited for us and cheering us, just as everyone else was that evening. The service, food, hospitality and environment was appreciated by everyone. I took my wife to your restaurant for the first time just the two of us for a romantic get away. Recently I have not been paying attention to these details and showing my wife I love her like she deserves and then some. This was the perfect place to bring her for I watched her light up, we shared great conversation, Steak & Lobster that was so tender and melted in your mouth and then a beautiful stroll thru the canyon even in the rain. It was all magical and Thank you for helping out with this wonderful evening with my wife.

This was my first dining experience at Log Haven, and it was wonderful! My mother and grandmother were visiting from our-of-town and we wanted to take them some place extra-special. We could not have selected a better location than. Truly memorable! From the beer/wine selections, the dinner and dessert menus, ambiance, service and of course the food; everything was superb. A person cannot go wrong by selecting Log Haven as their next dining experience.

The atmosphere at Log Haven was wonderful. The windows were open to let in the fresh night air and a gentle breeze blew in the smell of spring flowers and pine. Somalia was the featured culinary special- we had a delectable lamb appetizer. Each server spent plenty of time at our table, ensuring we understood the menu choices as well as giving us good suggestions for ordering. After ordering, the wait staff was very attentive. We enjoyed the food immensely. Every item was prepared perfectly and was flavorful. Filet mignon was so tender and served with a wonderful sauce. The bison was savory. We couldn't skip dessert and it turned out nice. It was great to take our father there for father's day. We all raved about it on the drive home!
We very much enjoyed our Father's day dinner at your place. Your wait staff is wonderful and attentive. We savored the Somalian-themed lamb appetizer. It made us think that you should serve more lamb. Lamb is a wonderful, unique, and local menu choice.

The beautiful drive up the canyon set the mood for this fabulous, unique restaurant. Our table looked out over a gorgeous waterfall and pond. The service was first rate - we felt neither rushed nor waiting. The friendly, professional waiter was extremely helpful in choosing both dishes and wines (fabulous selection, including Sangiovese, one of our favorites). Our party of six enjoyed the grilled bison steak, grilled elk tenderloin, and filet mignon (best ever!). All were perfectly prepared, tender, and delicious. If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience I highly recommend Log Haven.
Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Log Haven on Saturday, May 8. The waiter was first rate and the food perfectly prepared and presented. Thank you for making the evening such a memorable experience!

Log Haven never ceases to provide us with a truly memorable dining experience. We enjoyed our outstanding culinary experience with a scenic view of Mill Creek Canyon. We visit Log Haven frequently for celebrating memorable occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and holidays. The service was great and my wife and I were let to enjoy our time without obtrusive interruptions.
Please keep up the great dining experience; the food, the wine, and the service are outstanding. I had the blue corn dusted prawns with posole and this was perhaps the best meal I've ever had at Log Haven. Our server, Jack, was outstanding.

We were completely satisfied with our wedding! Every single detail was executed perfectly! Faith was amazing at corresponding via email since we were planning long distance. cynthia was incredible during the wedding and ensured everyone's needs were met! Y'all absolutely exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious and I loved my vegetarian entree--thanks so much for accommodating my vegetarian guests! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for an outstanding dining experience. My husband and a dear friend of ours enjoyed the best meal we've had in a long time last night. Everything was perfect: the food, the ambiance, the service. My husband and I have had many reasons to celebrate as of late (anniversary, anesthesiology residency graduation, a new baby on the way) and we have been very disappointed with the other restaurants we have patroned for these special occasions. Last night we were celebrating a long-awaited visit form our friend who has over the past few years been serving our country as a US diplomat in Iraq and Syria, and who is about to be deployed to Afghanistan. We wanted to make sure we picked the perfect place to take him as he won't be enjoying filet mignon again any time soon. We were all blown away with our meal and the entire experience at Log Haven. Thank you.

We have dined all around the world. I can say that without a doubt, this is the best restaurant experience we have ever had. Thank for helping make our 43rd wedding anniversary a memorable one. Log Haven far exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing! All of the flavors were new, exciting and bursting with flavor. We enjoyed everything we ordered but if I had to recommend some items I would recommend the organic green salad with curry vinaigrette, the filet mignon with gruyere mashed potatoes and you must try their home made ice cream (we really like the hazelnut). The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. This was my best dining experience ever in Utah.

Fabulous! Here is the classiest place I've ever eaten. The food was pricey, I'll probably never take another couple there, but my wife and I went and we loved it! Very romantic, food was fabulous ...service was wonderful and I've never even heard of an "appetite enhancer" but it worked! I was happy that I was full when I left, I have been disappointed in fancy restaurants that don't give me enough to eat, but portions were perfect. Great anniversary spot.

Log Haven - 6451 East Millcreek Canyon. If you haven't been there in years, go again. One of my past students, Logen Crew, is the current head line cook and doing a great job. He has previously 'chef-ed' at Cafe Trio and Fresco. He's awesome and worth the money. Beautiful location. Great place for a special occasion.

Just received a call from a fellow speaker in route to Salt Lake City. They said they wanted to wish me a Happy New Year and since she knew I had several clients in SLC, she thought I might be able to refer her to a culinary delight.
Well of course I can!
Less than half an hour from down town is one of my favorite restaurants on the planet. Nestled in the foothills just east of town is a romantic little eatery called “Log Haven.” This place has more awards than it has tables, but the attitudes and food are absolutely the best. Check out the Log Haven web site for the back-story, but this place was built as a mountain get-away in the early 1900’s and has a quite interesting past. The Ahi Tuna and BBQ Duck was wonderful and I’m told the crab cakes are to die for. Romance, beauty, history, service and great food; what more can one ask for? I’ve never met the owner, but the Chef was very congenial and attentive and it is obvious the Log Haven understands that in great customer service…you “Don’t Just Do It!”
