Steak & Lobster Fest Continues at
Log Haven!

By overwhelming request, we are continuing Steak and Lobster Fest this March. For $35, guests will be able to feast on a luxurious two-course dinner, starting with a Petite Caesar Salad for their first course followed by a grilled New York Steak with green peppercorn butter, aligot potatoes and glace de viande, served with broiled Maine Lobster Tail and drawn butter.

As a further enticement, we are offering Steak and Lobster Fest as an “Early Bird Special.” Diners who place their order before 6:30 pm will receive a $10 discount and will be able to enjoy their dinner for just $25.

Log Haven is committed to using sustainable wild products, eco-friendly farm products and always sources locally when available. Each month, we are offering menu specials that are sourced from local or regional producers. Our March special features Organic Beer-Braised Morgan Valley Lamb Shanks, served with Habanero Beehive Cheddar Wheat-berry Risotto, Corn Puree, Watercress/Apple/Jicama Salad. Ian has suggested the following beverage pairing options to accompany this luscious dish: Clos Mimi “Petite Rousse” Syrah (an unusual biodynamic wine with both sweet and earthy flavors), Wasatch Devastator Double Bock (a strong amber lager with a bready malt aroma and rich body) and the Nutty Apple, featuring sparkling cider with a splash of hazelnut syrup (non-alcoholic).

Log Haven Inducted into Salt Lake Magazine’s Dining “Hall of Fame”

At last month's Salt Lake Magazine 2009 Dining Awards, Log Haven was a recipient of the magazine’s highest award: induction into their "Dining Hall of Fame." Log Haven, along with this year’s fellow inductee, Cucina Toscana, joins Red Iguana and Mazza as members of a select club of perennial winners, deemed by Salt Lake Magazine (April2008) as “places (that) have achieved such consistent excellencethat they deserve an award just for winning awards."
